Helnessund Sauna heats up automatically to 80 degrees, so it is ready for the next booking. We estimate approx. 2 hours for heating.

Practical information:


  • When booking a sauna, you will receive an email with a code for the key box. This code will be valid for your entire stay (and 15 minutes before/after).
  • Activate the box by touching the panel - enter the code - press the lock icon and wait for the confirmation sound, then you can open the box.
  • Note: Put the key back in the box and close it again when you have unlocked it, this will reduce the risk of it being lost.


  • If the sauna is cold, it will take two hours to heat up. The heater will automatically start two hours before the next arrival if necessary, and these two hours will be unavailable for booking.


  • A sauna session lasts 1.5 hours, and this also includes time to change. Avoid showing up before your session starts in case someone is already there - and be changed and ready to leave when your time is up, in case someone comes after.

 

  • There is plenty of room for 8-10 people in the sauna, but you can also book a Drop-In for just 1 or 2 people if you want.
  • Booking also gives you access to the Sauna Lounge, which is the room next to the speedboat expedition. Here you have access to a toilet and shower, and an extra, slightly larger changing room.
  • In the Sauna Lounge you can fill up the sauna bucket with fresh water in the shower.
  • Note: Never use seawater/salt water on the sauna heater as this will damage the heater.
